Biography

Annika began painting as a young girl, voraciously learning oils, acrylics, watercolor, pen and ink, pastels, and life drawing from accomplished art instructors in Odessa Fine Arts school (4years).
After graduating from Odessa’s Grekov college of Fine Arts, Annika entered the art trade as a professional, inspired by landscapes and beauty of the nature.

Artistic approach

My artwork is not the direct representation of nature but rather my own artistic creative vision and experiments with light and shadow, different textures, and mediums. I enjoy painting landscapes, impressionistic vistas of Mediterranean, fascinating places we travelled to in Italy, France, Spain, England, the beauty of Canadian nature. My art style I would describe as contemporary impressionism.
