Aarti is a Calgary based artist and works mainly in acrylics. Her work can be described as mix between contemporary impressionism and expressionism. As a self-taught artist, studying the work of timeless masters and contemporary artists alike, has helped her develop her unique style which focuses on the expression of light and color. Artistic approach

 
Capturing the play of light and the dazzling brilliance of colour it affects is the main focus of my paintings. My art is inspired both by contemporary artists and timeless masters. I seek every opportunity to paint freely with a focus only on enjoying the painting process rather than the outcome. This freedom and joy is reflected through the choice of bright colours and bold brushstrokes.
