I studied life drawing, lithography, commercial art at Ottawa School of Art, commercial art at Algonquin College of Applied Arts, and completed a Bachelor of Arts (fine art and creative writing) at Vancouver Island University.
I exhibited in the Ottawa area, in art galleries and in juried and association shows. More recently my work was shown in Victoria, Kelowna and Nanaimo, BC. I also did a few paintings on commission.
My painting won Honorable Mention in the 1985 Loomis and Tooles International Arts Exhibition. I won the Award for Advanced 3-Dimentional Design in 2003, and the Visual Art History Award at Malaspina University. I was Vice-President, Publicity of the Vancouver Island Contemporary Arts Society in 1988-90; Publicity Director, Magazine Editor of A Source of Art in Ottawa, 1983-86. I wrote a column about visual art in the Ottawa area for the monthly NewsWest in the mid 1980s, as well has host a cable TV program, ArtWorks.
My art has gone hand in hand with a career in publishing.

I find inspiration in nature, and in human interaction with landscapes and urban scenes, and in the evolution of culture. My three dimensional works are usually influenced by artifacts and monuments of ancient civilizations.
I’m always looking to make my next creative breakthrough, and strive to maintain an original approach.
