Blair Hansen’s first passion was music. By his late teens he was performing internationally and has since been credited as a writer, producer and performer on more than a dozen studio albums. A talented multi-instrumentalist, who plays guitar, bass, drums and keyboards, Blair has recently added the camera to the instruments he wields with skill, passion and a style all his own. In just five years behind the lens, Blair’s photo work has garnered attention from the likes of Raphael Mazzucco, Vincent Peters, Antoine Verglas, as well as many international models. The move from the musical to the visual arts was a seamless one for Blair, who has always maintained that the two go hand in hand.
“In the same way music can create a scene in your mind,” he says, “a good photograph has the power to evoke a melody.”
Recently, Blair was afforded the opportunity to assist acclaimed photographer and director Odette Sugerman on a shoot with Pamela Anderson. He has also been mentored by Boulevard Magazine photographer and international model Lia Crowe throughout his career.
While he continues to pursue both music and photography, his goal is to one day combine the two through cinematography and film scoring.

In an era full of hyper-edited photos and AI art, Blair's work aims to invoke a sense of nostalgia, and raw emotion. His work draws influence from classic noir films, utilizing heavy contrast juxtaposed with the softness and romanticism of the Pre-Raphaelite era. Blair shoots on film, and does not edit his work, striving to create timeless, beautiful images in-camera.
