I chose to take the perspective of the woman being sung about and depicted her looking through a photo album because although the journey of self-discovery can be exciting and full of meaning, it doesn’t mean there won’t be challenging aspects. I like the possibility that the woman did miss the person singing, but continued on her journey because it was important to her. While the interior of the space ship is created using pencil crayon, I decided that watercolors would be better suited for creating more realistic looking planets, and I chose to use acrylic paint for space because I think the concentration of pigment helps in creating the depth of space.
