Biography

Cheryl was born and raised in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Labrador. Memories of the North, Aurora and the Atlantic Ocean are frequent themes in her art. She now resides in Ottawa, Ontario, where she paints in Acrylics, watercolour and resin, as well as designing and creating jewellery.

Artistic approach

My art is nature centred. Whales, trees, Aurora and waves all feature prominently. I hope my art will introduce viewers to the magic found in two of the most misunderstood geographical areas of our world - the North and the Oceans. I want to encourage the viewer to pay attention to the world around us and the impact we each have on the environment.
