Iuliana Barbu is a mixed media artist, based in Ontario, Canada. She was born, grew up in Romania and immigrate to Canada in 2000. Iuliana hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from University of Fine Art, Bucharest, Romania (class of Professor Dr. George Moscal) 
Iuliana's art work consists of acrylic and oil painting. From 2020, she decided to challenge herself by painting in the pointillism technique and fell in love with it.

Artistic approach

I am a Canadian painter, living and working in Ontario, holding a BFA from National University of Art, Bucharest, Romania.
I work with it creating spaces and shapes. For me, painting is a calling. If I don't paint for a while, I feel an inner impulse that seems to tell me to paint. When I do paint, I completely transform myself. I forget about everything around me and only the canvas in front of me counts....Read more
