Biography

Joy Davis has been painting the landscapes and seascapes of coastal British Columbia for ten years, drawing on a lifetime of working and playing in this beautiful environment.  Joy is also author of  Complicated Simplicity: Island Life in the Pacific Northwest (Heritage House, 2019), www.island-perspectives.com.  

Artistic approach

I am intrigued by the interplay of light, colour and texture on the ocean, beaches, landscapes and mountains along our fascinating coastline.
