This contemporary landscape painting is atmospheric and moody, colour and textured. It was inspired by the sublime beauty of the Pacific Northwest; in particular, the majestic stormy weather systems that pass through, especially in the Spring and Fall during the rainy seasons. As an artist, I am incredibly inspired by storms and pensive clouds, and how they change the feeling of the landscapes they blanket, transforming the scenery below into something mysterious and dramatic. This piece is finished with layers of gloss varnish for UV protection, is painted on the sides in a coordinating dark blue hue, and is signed/dated on the back.
