Kathy is an international award winning artist who has exhibited in juried, group and solo exhibitions.
She has won awards in pastel, watercolour, drawing and photography, has been featured in three
publications by North Light Books, and numerous art magazines including an 8 page feature in the
‘International Artist’.
Kathy has achieved ‘Master Pastellist’ status with Pastel Artists Canada, is an elected member of the
Society Of Canadian Artists and the International Guild Of Realism, a former signature member of the
Northern Ontario Art Association and a current member of Ingersoll Creative Art Centre. Kathy
thoroughly enjoys teaching workshops in various mediums to different skill levels.
Although she has no formal art training, Kathy has taken many workshops and continues to explore new
mediums and materials that allow her to capture life and emotion in her work. Her work can be seen in
corporate and private collections in North America and Abroad. Kathy lives in Arnprior, Ontario with
her husband Paul, where she finds plenty of inspiration in her beautiful surroundings.

“I’ve always felt the need to share my art. I paint not only for self gratification, but also to share in the hope that others will feel the same emotions. I don’t merely want you to see what I saw; my goal is that my paintings will transcend your senses; and you’ll feel as though you could walk into the painting; feel the sunlight on your face, hear the sounds of nature, and perhaps walk a bit deeper into the forest. By recreating the scene realistically, paying attention to the textures, shapes and colours in the landscape and how the sunlight affects them, I hope that I can achieve this.”
