Biography

I was born in Toronto and continue to call downtown Toronto home.
I have been an artist my entire life, with a sketchbook, pencils, often pastels when I travel, and paint when I'm home. I studied music from an early age and went on to play numerous instruments. I studied photography as an adult and carried a camera wherever I journeyed!

Artistic approach

I paint intuitively. I start with texture and hand mixing colour to create a playground. My base coat includes either heavy gel or molding paste. I draw my inspiration from the energy around me, people, events, weather, and nature. I paint with thick layers to create movement and depth in my paintings. I love colour and use it to translate weather, the density of growth, and the character of the landscapes I'm painting.
