Kim Chase is an acrylic painter from Carleton Place, ON Canada. She is self-taught and reignited her passion for art 4 years ago. She focuses primarily on figurative, portraits and wildlife.  She centers on the expression, storytelling, and the beauty in each subject.

Artistic approach

I like to capture the true realism that exists in the subjects I paint.  For me it is more than just putting a brush to the canvas, it is an opportunity to explore places I’ve been or have never been and illustrate the rawness in the emotions of the subject.  My hope is that I can clearly convey the beauty that exists in human and animal expressions through my art with nature as my inspiration....Read more
