Biography

South African by birth and now a resident of North Vancouver,  Margot's professional art career began in high school at the Johan Carinus Art Centre, in Grahamstown. 

She obtained a B.A. Degree in Fine Art Painting from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in Port Elizabeth.

Exhibitions in South Africa include the Eastern Province Fine Arts Society, Port Elizabeth Gallery and the Grahamstown National Festival for the Arts.

Artistic approach

My art reflects on the eternal cycles, rhythms and ever changing moods of nature. It offers a mystical journey for the viewer to seek their own connection with the land and its creatures.

I do not prescribe to anyone how my art should effect them or influence their unique vision!

Mixed media, pen and ink drawings, acrylics, oil paints , print making, wood and stone sculpting and even ceramic art have all been experimented with.
