Micheal live s in the Beautiful Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia, on the shores of the Bay of Fundy with his wife and two daughters. He's felt compelled to paint the landscapes around him for himself, for as long as he can remember. He has  never thought of selling his paintings until recently. When he's not painting on canvas, he is  painting houses, furniture, cabinets...ect with his youngest daughter. They have a painting business and work together every day.  So Michael almost always has a paint brush in his hand.

Ever since I was a child I've felt a need to Express the way nature and the landscapes around me make me feel. Putting it on canvas is the best way for me to get it out of my head and visible for myself and now others to see it. I use a wet on wet technique with oil on stretched canvas mostly, and I just let my mind take me where it wants to go and let it flow onto the canvas. Some are finished in a half hour, while others are done in stages and can take weeks.
