Born and raised in Montreal, Quebec, I’ve been drawn to art from a very young age. Surrounded by the rich cultural landscape of this vibrant city, I found inspiration in its diversity and history. I have had the privilege of studying under some exceptional professors who shaped my artistic journey, guiding me toward a deeper understanding of both technique and meaning in my work.

Today, I teach art to young minds, passing on the legacy of creativity and expression that I was fortunate to experience. For me, art is not just a practice—it’s a powerful extension of who I am, allowing me to navigate and interpret my life’s journey.

Mon art est une extension de qui je suis, de mes expériences et de la façon dont je l'interprète.  Lorsque je capture un moment de ma vie que je trouve intéressant ou inspirant, cela évoque une certaine énergie et émotion.  J'essaie de capturer cela et de le transférer sur la toile.  Dans mon éducation, mes professeurs ont appris à faire cela avec des paysages et maintenant j'utilise cette approche pour capturer des moments de ma vie.  J'aime utiliser la peinture à l'huile avec sa richesse et sa texture luxuriante, mais j'utiliserai également la peinture acrylique pour sa capacité à être flexible dans la façon dont je l'utilise.  Souvent, j'aime cacher des significations ou des symboles cachés dans mon art.  Que ce soit des cœurs pour symboliser l'amour, des nombres significatifs ou des symboles anciens qui ont une signification. Parfois, ils seront cachés dans la texture derrière la peinture ou gravés dans la peinture ou simplement peints.  Ce facteur caché me donne le sentiment de laisser des indices sur le sens de la pièce.

My art is an extension of who I am , how I experience life and how I interpret it . When I capture a fleeting moment in my life that I find interesting or inspiring it evokes a certain energy and emotion. I try to capture that and transfer  it onto the canvas . I was formally trained to do that with landscapes and now I use this approach to capture moments in my life. I enjoy using oil paint with its lush richness and texture but also will use acrylic paint for its versatility and flatness.  Often I like to hide hidden meaning or symbols in my art . Be it hearts to symbolize love , numbers of significance or ancient symbols that have meaning .At times they will be hidden in the texture behind the paint or etched in the paint or simply painted in . This hidden factor gives me a sense of leaving clues to the meaning of the piece.
