Biography

I am a visual artist, before retirement I owned a photography/  frame gallery for many years, specializing in Local seascape, landscape, and children’s portraiture. As a senior I have now turned to using my photography as inspiration For my paintings. I have participated in several group exhibitions, one solo exhibition, and many trade / cruise ship venues.  One solo exhibit for this year has been , unfortunately cancelled due to COVID.

Artistic approach

I tend to draw from the beauty of nature, whether it’s colorful floral, rugged landscape, or simply calm seascape. I try to express the various moods that can stem from living on an island surrounded by ocean.....solitude, unpredictable weather, tranquility,.  
Depending on what mood I’m creating decides what media I use ,acrylic, oil, watercolour, fluid, and what tools I put to use, brush, palette, , texture, or pencil.
