Riley Chase has been into arts and music his entire life. At 21 he broke into the tattoo industry. Now at 35 he owns his own tattoo shop, is a painter selling his first few pieces for over 3k a piece, he is an award winning artist,  founded the art collective/charity Artists Against Addiction for mental health and those struggling. Riley himself has bipolar disorder and aspbergers. He also started and is the front man in the band "Daywalker" & is an actor/model. He uses his art as a form of therapy. It is his way to decompress, break stigmas and bring joy to others at the same time. 

I tend to approach any art & creativity in the same way. I am not always able to speak in words the feelings that I have. I use many forms of art and music as a way to express how I'm feeling,  and to accomplish milestones and goals, to constantly be moving forward. I find if I'm not creating I am imploding. Because of my busy schedule being an entrepreneur, a tattoo artist, and the many other things I'm involved with I tend to paint after midnight. After a long work day and spending time with my family, I enjoy this alone time because by working this late I am almost in a dreamlike state and it's easy to have the subconscious take over the creativity. Even though I enjoy doing realism pieces when I tattoo & that comes out in my paintings,  but it's as if I'm remembering someone from a dream. I get to be more free on the canvas, though I work alot in oils I am a mixed media artist. I'm not opposed to sculpting right on the canvas, and I use alot of uv/blacklight acrylics.  I go in with an idea, but never a plan. What comes out often times surprises me. I get more of a witching hour type of creativity while painting, I'm very grateful I don't need much sleep otherwise my creations may turn out differently.
