Bob Venafro's artistic style is characterized by the use of vibrant colours and bold strokes. He works in acrylic and oils, creating rich textures and dynamic compositions. His artwork is inspired by his personal experiences, imagination, as well as the world around him. What was to be a retirement hobby has turned into an avocation in the past 15 years (2009 - 2023). Artistic approach

 
 A mission statement:
Though I am creating art, I am evoking an emotion. 

My approach to art is focused on evoking emotions. I draw inspiration from my daily view of Mount Royal* from my studio, which offers an ever-changing landscape throughout the seasons. I use the Impasto technique, which uses thick paint contrasted with smooth backgrounds, to create a sense of wonderment and add a third dimension to my two-dimensional paintings.
