Sarah Collard is a prolific Canadian artist who has painted 50 murals in 50 years. She has many series of paintings that range from abstract or impressionistic to realistic. Most of her exterior murals are located in Manitoba and Ontario with a few in British Columbia and Quebec. She has worked for Take Pride Winnipeg, Downtown Winnipeg BIZ, Mural Routes and StART Toronto Underpass Program. She has spent much time mentoring others. I am a muralist and a painter who loves colour and the layering process to show light. My artwork has always been figurative and impressionistic. I love going into a community digging through archives, determining a perfect match for my clients and designing an excellent composition. Some of the most famous artists who have helped shape my style have been Antonio Gaudi, Toulouse Lautrec, George Seurat, Michelangelo Buonarotti, Raphael and Claude Monet. The tuscan landscape has inspired my colour palette and my Italian roots have influenced my love for landscape architecture and horticulture.
