Born and raised in Pakistan, having lived in a couple of countries, between small towns and rambling cities and having travelled across the globe ……my soul remains a wanderer, a searcher, a seeker of the known and the unknown!

Self-taught……my biggest teacher is LIFE itself; my surroundings inspire me; my thoughts, my emotions, my  ambitions, my failures and my  dark moments  compel me to unload myself through colours and brush strokes. For me it is a moment of liberation, of indulgence, of expression, of soulful passion……for me it is completion in another zone.
Having Fine Arts as an elective in graduation years  with Psychology as major not only made me understand and explore my passion for art and expression but it also unfurled events, people, places, stories and scenes around me  with a whole new perspective.  To this day I call myself an autodidactic…….since the need for change and learning something new is perpetual.

Over the years my passion for Painting has grown with me. Anything, everything and sometimes even some meaningful nothingness captures me and instills me with the need to pour a piece of myself on canvas. It is a therapy, a mindful relaxation and an outlet for all that I have gathered inside me throughout my life.
Figures, Faces, Memories, the least noticeable of things and sights, sounds, emotions, expressions and illusive perceptions; fragments depictive of various cultures, a static Still life or a roaring ocean  .......anything could be a narrative for my paintings.
Although an ardent lover of Oil on canvas; I like experimenting with mixed media with an array of contrasting colour palette and techniques best suited to the painting’s theme.

To quote Thomas Merton:

“Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time”.

.......for me it is a constant self-discovery and each piece I draw and paint is my story.......
