Studio 001 is a group of 4 artists painting under one roof. We are passionate artists and designers of different backgrounds. Art is something that unites us and bring happiness and joy to us. Nothing makes us more happy than our paintings that find their forever homes. We also teach art to younger audience and all the sales support our non profit educational projects.

Maya Penzlik is an artist and illustrator based in Montreal. She likes painting whimsical characters and dreamy landscapes in bright and vibrant colors. Maya's inspiration comes from her dreams and childhood, places she visited and would like to visit one day and precious time she spends with her daughter Eva.

Gefei  Zhang is a multimedia designer and artist. Her allegorical paintings bring a fresh and natural look to whichever space space they are displayed in .Gefei acute sense of aestheticism makes her artistry flow with grace to produce highly decorative paintings. Through bright colors, and unconventional painting methods, Gefei seeks to express all sorts of feelings and emotions. Her passion for painting unveils itself as a primal outlet for her to explore creativity.

Sera Kassab is a multidisciplinary deaf artist based in Montreal. She uses her art as a means of communication with the world, to compensate for her hearing loss. It is her passion and her way to express her feelings, emotions and thoughts through colorful and unique artworks. Her goal in life is to tell stories through her art and to inspire deaf children to be creative.

Katie Paglialunga is multidisciplinary artist based in Montreal, Canada. Katie's work is fantastical, magical and psychedelic. Her works frequently play with the ideas of duality, adulthood verses childhood and the travels in-between and back and forth. Katie finds calmness in forests and will often catch herself soothing away life's troubles by painting nature with an otherworldly twist.

Coming from different cultural backgrounds our art is very versatile. We all love color and storytelling in our art making process. Every painting has a story as well as their creators. Material of our choice is acrylic and mixed media. Most of the paintings are framed. We also offer commissions and mural projects.
