Artist Bio: - Terry is a self-taught pencil (also pen and ink) artist from Edmonton Alberta Canada, whose interest and talents were recognized early in his life. He returned to drawing as a hobby in 2015. In the meantime, Terry found he could use his talents in his longtime drafting career in the engineering field, as he refined his drawing skills as one of the last generation of manual drafting board designers. Terry has carried those techniques over into his new found passion for his own draftsman art drawing style. Terry enjoys drawing Canada's unique natural treasures such as animals, buildings and landscapes. He has been recognized by other artists and art admirers for his talent for thick line drawing that has a folk art feeling. Gallea gallery has  picked several of Terry's art works, a 2021 BIRD Collection pick and three 2021, 2022, 2023 ARTIST OF ALBERTA Collection pick to show case his art talents. Terry's art works recently have been part of 2021 & 2022 also 2023 Edmonton Alberta street art festival Whyte Avenue Art Walk.  Three of Terry's art works were part of Isolation Art Display 2022 held by Edmonton Public Library city wide art show supporting local artists. Terry was the only pencil artist included in the Isolation Art Display 2022. Several Edmonton business own Terry's art as well. 

Terry is French metis  and the bear paw on each of Terrbear’s drawings brings honor to his indigenous family members:-  His great aunts and families, also three aunties and their children, also his brother’s partner, distant family’s nation of Canada’s Great Lake Region the indigenous Huron Wendat Nation  first metis children. Terry (Terrbear) Lauzon is a distant relative of Canada’s first metis people in Quebec (New France) today Canada. Terry's Hurronne-Wendat distant relatives were involved in French New France (before Canada) early fur trade. 

Terry has worked in the engineering field as a piping designer for thirty plus years, the last generation designers off the old manual drafting board. He has built several billions of dollar engineering projects over his career. He uses only pencils  and also pen and ink in creating his art. Join him in celebrating our Canadian nature and architectural treasures by owning an affordable piece of art nostalgia, gifting his art pieces to new Canadians or visitors to our country. Many of Terry's art sales proceeds go to charities he holds dear. Starting in 2022 he makes yearly version of children's and adult colouring booklet of Canadian animals, available upon request.  Currently Terry is semi-retired and drives a yellow school bus in Edmonton.
