Wendy McDonald has a passion for creativity in several forms, including fabric art, photography, acrylic painting and travel writing. She holds certifications in interior decorating, travel writing and won 1991 “Foundation of Alberta Designers” children’s wear award. She has done extensive travel around the world photographing what inspires her for her next art project.

Artistic approach

My inspiration for my art comes from the photographs I take while travelling around the world. Whether the subject is people, architecture or flora and fauna, I love to abstract what I photograph into unique acrylic paintings.
