Biography

Wendy is a painter working out of a studio located in Saskatoon’s Riversdale neighbourhood in the province of Saskatchewan.

Wendy was one of five artists selected to participate in the inaugural residency with the City Saskatoon and the Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park and Zoo’s Artists in Place: The Bunkhouse Project.

Artistic approach

Wendy started painting in a grisaille style and has moved working with fluorescent paints, often blending both styles at once. Her landscapes transform into fully saturated, blindingly bright luminous landscapes. 

These landscapes include alleys, street fronts, and rural buildings painted from her own source materials as well as those discovered in digital photograph archives.
