Biography

William Ross was born in 1965 and grew up in Toronto, Ontario. He is self-taught and began painting in 2004 with a focus on nature. In 2006 William moved to Haliburton, Ontario where he currently resides and is surrounded by nature. After several years of painting trees and wildlife he became bored with the subject matter and decided to take his art in a new, self-fulfilling direction.

Artistic approach

I created my first oil painting in grade five. I fell in love with the artistic process, however, for years music was my artistic outlet. In 2004 I decided to pick up a paint brush and see if anything sparked. It did.
